Just one bet from me over the weekend folks, but plenty of quality viewing.
The Netherlands, rightly, handed it to the USA. Despite some decent form from the States, Netherlands got through their group stage undefeated, and odds on a Holland win at 1/1 were too tasty to ignore.
3-1 final score and some money in the bank. Read the logic below.
That was the only game I bet on over the weekend, and I was happy to just be a spectator as Messi delivered a masterclass and Argentina beat Australia.
As much as I wanted Senegal to beat England, one sort of knew that the dream was over, and in my Round of 16 predictions I said England would win. France hammered Poland to end off a round of games that were a lot more in line with expected results than the rest of the World Cup has been.
Still a couple of cracking games left before the quarter-finals are decided.
Brazil, who I’ve lumped money on for a tournament win, take on South Korea tonight, while Croatia and Japan battle it out.
Tomorrow I’m predicting Portugal go home, at the hands of Switzerland, and that Morocco upset Spain.
Keep an eye on my Facebook page for pre-game tips and have a good week.
