MoneyMan's weekend wrap

There was some lovely Premier League on display this past weekend, the URC has gotten off to a cracking start and I saw some healthy returns on my bets.

The Premier League weekend kicked off with the North London derby, and given that the away side had not won in 16 games, I was going nowhere near a win/loss prediction. I put down R500 on over 2.5 goals and despite Spurs contributing with a goal, Arsenal managed to cover the bet themselves in the 3-1 win. R850 return.

My bet of the weekend, a game both Ollie and I predicted spot on and agreed to put money behind, was the 1.93 on offer for West Ham to beat a struggling Wolves side at home. 2-0, and my R3000 became R5790. I believe Ollie stayed slightly more conservative in laying down R500

Watch: Our Premier League predictions for the past round

Sunday we were treated to the Manchester Derby, though it resembled nothing like a derby. A hattrick a piece for Erling Haaland and Phil Foden, while Kevin De Bruyne once again proved instrumental in deconstructing the opposition defence. The 6-3 final scoreline flattered United, who pulled back two goals in the last 15 minutes after Pep made several changes. I didn’t bet on this game, but I’m starting to think Man City to win by -2.5 every week will become a given.

Greatly looking forward to more of the same next week with Premier League, have a good week folks.
