Not a heavy weekend of betting for me, but a successful one.
Man City came good, as they always tend to, and my R1000 on City to beat Wolves by -1.5 returned R1930.
It is unfortunate that postponements meant we missed the Liverpool v Chelsea clash, but I’m sure both Klopp and Potter may actually be relieved to spend a bit more time with their teams, given Liverpool’s recent run and Potter’s recent appointment.
Out of the seven games that were on display, I managed 5/7 successful predictions, and so did Ollie. That takes our totals to 32/67 games (me) and 26/67 (Ollie). Maybe he’ll pull it back after the World Cup ;).
In terms of rugby, I backed the All Blacks to beat the Wallabies comfortably, and though it was not as comfortable as it should have been, they still got the result.
I took a bet at odds of 1.85 on the Springbok v Argentina game, that the points total would be over 50.5. At 36-20 to the Boks that one came in.
Nothing too risky this past weekend, and the conservative approach payed off.
Slightly starved for soccer for the next few weeks given the break in Champions League and Premier League, but hopefully this coming weekend we may see the Boks win the Rugby Championship.
Until next week folks
