What a weekend of sport, what a weekend of betting.
The highlight of my weekend was, of course, the Springboks emphatic 26-10 win over the All Blacks. It was a highlight because the game was representative of the current quality of both sides, and the Boks did not falter against a black jersey, but rather flourished against the poorer side.
It was a highlight from a betting perspective too, as I called a 14 point win, conservatively, for the Springboks and won some good cash back betting on a Bok outright win.
I’m incredibly excited for the second game, in front of 50000 lunatics at Ellis Park next weekend.

In terms of soccer, it was embarrassing watching Man United go down at home to Brighton 2-1, and not easy to watch Liverpool play some of the worst football I’ve seen under Klopp to draw to Fullham 2-2. Thankfully, Arsenal came through for me and Erling Haaland’s two goals got me some solid Fantasy League points as I had him triple-captained for the weekend.
Chatting earlier in the weekend in my Premier League show with Ollie, I felt that Haaland would come to the party in his first Premier League game, and true to form, him and City did.
Awesome to have the Premier League back, fantastic to see the Springboks winning, and winning in the manner that they did. Question marks about who will be winging it for them this coming weekend, as Kurt Lee Arendse is out, but we’ll have to wait and see. Hopefully the same side can do the same thing again against and All Black team with a lot of problems!
Check out mine and Ollie’s Premier League predictions for this past weekend, we’ll be chatting again on Thursday. I’ll also be putting out a rugby show in anticipation of Round 2 of the Rugby Championship.
