The Springboks couldn’t manage three tries to secure a bonus point win, as the Argentinians conceded 21 penalties in a characteristically disruptive performance. However, the Boks still managed to convincingly win 29-10, with the Pumas scoring a late try.
The 19 point differential comfortably covered the 12.5 handicap that we tipped earlier in the week, saying in the MoneyMan show that we believed the Boks were easily a two-try better team, especially with some big names back in action. The odds, at the time, stood at a healthy 1.87 and my R1000 returned R1870.
It were’t for a late consolation try, the differential would have been bigger, and the Boks were unfortunate to not cross the line for a third try during the 80 minutes.
The Rugby Championship’s immediate future remains in the air, but the Boks are looking like a valuable team to be punting on every weekend. Stay tuned for any updates this week.
Have a great week folks,
