MoneyBoy and I were on the money with our rugby calls this weekend, but the American Sports were on and that’s where my focus was!
I had the Crusaders by -6.5 and the Blues by -4.5, both of which came off nicely with their respective 32-19 and 32-21 wins. But Sunday night saw my focus on the NHL and MLB.
In the Hockey World, I tipped that an experienced Nashville Predators would knock over a young Arizona Coyotes in the playoffs. For me, experience matters most in games like those. Interestingly, the Coyotes ultimately edged the Predators by a goal, denying them a comeback for a 4-3 win and losing me R500. A disappointing result, but I’m not despondent as I still sit on 43-15 after three years of tipping on the sport (a 74% success rate).
The MLB has seen me go 18-9 over the past three years, a 66% success rate and I’m happy to say I upped that to 68% on Sunday night as the Cincinnati Reds trumped the Detroit Tigers 4-0. My tip on the MoneyMan Facebook page was as follows: “I love the pitcher the Reds are sending to the mound. Trevor Bauer has a paltry 1.42 earned run average and he is going against a rookie who does not inspire confidence. I am all over the Reds to win this game comfortably and will be putting down R1000 to win back R1720.” And so a great end to the weekend, as I moved to 19-9 in Baseball.
MoneyBoy and I will be discussing our rugby calls later this week, but stay tuned to my Facebook page for tips across sports throughout the week.
As always, safe betting folks.
